Ever wonder what goes through the minds of cats while they enjoy their delicious morsels? Well, thanks to the folks at Wegmans Food Markets we explore the fantasy world of Danny Wegman’s cats in various webisodes that roll out via YouTube and in store displays . These videos are designed to feature a new line of Wegmans cat food named after Danny’s actual pet cats, Buju and Ziggie. Crystal Pix provided the creative concept and direction for these webisodes. Once all the shooting and animations are complete, all the final effects, sound design and editing are completed at Crystal Pix. Add some 3D dancing cat food around the border and “it’s like par-a-dise!”
WEBISODE 1: Paradise
This first webisode was built around Buju & Ziggie enjoying a sun filled excursion to their favorite tropical vacation spot. Dancing, maracas, the sun as dancing cat food cans, lying in the hammock, etc.. The completed video rolled out to all Wegmans in store displays in January 2011.
